Breed Specific Seminar
Breed Specific Seminar is being at Mypetstop, Denton near Manchester.
The sibe judging seminar is to guide and, hopefully, educate people as to what they should be considering/looking for when judging Siberians in the showring. Helen Gutteridge is our speaker. Helen's CV is impressive. She is the 2nd most senior breed judge in the KC's lists and awarded CC's at Crufts 2004. Helen has also been the Chairperson of the SHCGB.
The day will be based around the following items.
(1) Anatomy & Basic Biomechanics
(2) The Siberian Husky Breed Standard - what does it mean, and howlers to watch for.
(3) Gait video
(4) Applying all the aforementioned topics to some live dogs.
It is important to note that it is a KC requirement to attend a breed specific seminar in order to reach the level of being able to award CC's.
All details can now be obtained from the Club Secretary Mrs Penny Evans. If you are interested in attending, please contact Penny before 30th April.

Kielder Rally 2003
Kielder Forest is Britain's largest forest, producing vast quantities of timber, yet offering valuable habitat for a variety of wildlife and a wide range of recreational opportunities. The forest surrounds Kielder Water creating a genuine Northumbrian hideaway, tucked in a secluded valley near the Scottish Borders offering some of the most spectacular scenery in the North of England. The usual trail is available and booked. The trail is quite unique as it has most types of surfaces to be found in this Country. This, coupled with the up-and-down sections all in the one trail we feel makes Kielder not just a race but a challenge to both musher and team.
