Aviemore is on GO!
Just thought a quick update might be needed: We have Sponsors ! HUSSE ( www.husse.com)
is a new brand of Petfood in the UK and are very kindly sponsoring the
Competitors' Sweatshirts for 2005 ...... Nick and Dominique Smith will be pleased to discuss
their products and promotional details with you and look forward to meeting
us all both at the Mushers' Meeting and on the Race Site. This is very much a trial both on the part of the
Company and the Club, but given sufficient interest, we hope that a more
concrete arrangement for future years at Aviemore will result. Carol & Mark of Pet Stop have kindly offered
to sponsor the prizes for the Junior Races and would like to offer the
following: Notice to all teams participating in the SHCGB
event in Aviemore in January 2005 To help lighten your load when travelling up north,
to give you one less thing to think about.... Pre order your dogs food,
treats etc. and either collect in Aviemore store, or we can deliver it
to you. Please enquire through either our web site or direct
to the store at least 10 days prior to the event so that we can ensure
your goods are in stock. We stock all major brands but remember - to avoid
disappointment, please pre order. On the weekend of the event, we will be there supporting
you all and will run a delivery service from our Aviemore Store. So if
you need anything on the day, please ask and we will be happy to get it
for you. Keep a look out for some special offers on that weekend! Nick Ridley Photography will be attending
on the race days with his Crew and is going to be rather busy - we have
another bumper entry of 211 Teams in the Main Event alone. A few
of you have seen Nick in action at Yateley and Fineshades. The wonders
of digital photography never cease to amaze and Nick's set-up is second
to none. Jeff Evans kindly pointed out this will be
his fifth year of catering for us and looks forward to welcoming his on-site
Assistant our own Lauren Peat. Mike Gettleson has forgotten how
many years he has been coming up and running our timing systems, but both
he and Jeff are now legends in their own lifetimes. In this year of much
change, it is good to welcome back a few of the well-known faces, including
another old-timer Laurie Fraser with his tannoy systems. Little else to report, save the trail conditions
are reported by Forest Enterprise as being: Little else to say save Alan, Lindsey, Kenny and
I look forward to seeing you all in January save: DON'T FORGET TO BRING YOUR BIB
WITH YOU ! We shall be running on the Club's normal bibs and
to forget is to find out how loud I can shout ! Penny Date:22 Dec 2004, Author: Penny Evans |
