A select few gathered at Carron Valley for this year's event. Most of the snow from the previous ten days had gone, what was left was chipped away by Steve Shaw and Gregor McNicol - had we waited an hour or so the weather would have done it for us! 10degrees, wet and very windy was the order of Saturday, although it was suprising just how many happy faces (human) there were, the teeth gleaming through the mud packs. The dogs were their usual selves, happy to have had a good workout through the mud that quickly formed.

Surprisingly nobody backed out of returning on Sunday, and what a difference a day made. The sun shone, a cool breeze was blowing, temperature 3 degrees. More happy faces, the timing sheets stayed dry and all seemed to have a good time.

The usual thanks are due to all the helpers - with such a small entry everybody was involved. Thank you Carron for showing us your kind side on the second day. Raynet East Dunbartonshire provided their usual efficient service, and one of their number, Ricki, tried out his new digital camera to take the photos. Thanks, guys.
