Thank you to everyone that entered the third Cropton Rally sponsored by our local dog food manufacturer, Burgess Supa-dog who supplied all the food prizes for the first 3 places in each class as well as the thermal mug awards, all the competitors received again this year. Thank you to Pauline Sirrel for donating the first place trophies, and to the Bateman’s who attended the event just to marshal. A big thank you to all of them.

The weather stayed dry and overcast during both days but relatively warm (9-10C) and very humid (90-95%).The number of teams who entered were up on last year by 20 teams to give 82 starters, which was fantastic when there was 2 other races on the same weekend. The course was run in the same direction as last year with the 1 mile climb from the start followed by a 2.9 mile decent to the finish. Even this early in the season, it was great to see some good fast times being posted.

Sorry that the campsite facilities were not totally open again this year, but it did make parking of all the caravans and tents a lot easier than last year and I hope the toilets helped. The whole site was left very, very clean this year also, so thanks for taking your litter with you.
