Rendlesham Rally 2002
Date: 9 Feb. 2002

Thankfully for Deb, Sians football was postponed, and to her relief I could do the mushers meeting, of all the jobs required over a race weekend, that was the one she dreaded the most, I'm just glad I can be of use sometimes.

With temperatures both days around the 12°-mark trail distances were reduced but hopefully enjoyed by all 90+ teams. The junior 1 mile trail with 6 turns was very demanding especially the rather large puddle where Emma Tilsed left her shoe and Katie Bray had the biggest tangle ever. Even some of the adults tried to match the juniors, with Andy Steadman losing his team when his snow hook line snapped and Nicki Spowart losing her team and glasses!

We would like to say a big thank you to all the helpers who made organising this rally so much easier (especially Deb's array of men) and to all the teams travelling from all parts of the country to have a hangover and to making it a great success.

See you all next year.
