Trentham Twilight Toddle 2002
Date: 26 Oct. 2002
The third and probably last Trentham Twilight Toddle.
Well the first race of the 2002/3 Husky Club calendar came and went in spectacular style.
Spectacular because of the amount of standing water and mud on the course following and indeed during the worst storms in the area for at least 12 years. Spectacular because all but one of the 55 teams entered turned up despite some of the worst traffic jams in the area (travelling times of 4 hours from Birmingham were reported). Spectacular because of low flying Yorkshireman, sadly only witnessed by one fortunate competitor!
Unfortunately, due to the redevelopment of the Trentham site we will once again be looking for an alternative venue. Wendy and I will miss the venue; we have enjoyed the last three years, although closing the bar in September after we had booked the event was a bit of a blow.
A big thank you to Sarah and Keith Robinson and Andrea and Steve Taylor for all their help and hard work over the weekend. Also thank you to everyone who helped with marshalling, time keeping, snubbing etc.
Hope to see you all on the trails soon.
