All dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and should wear identification tags. No teams are allowed on the trail except at their allocated times.

RIGS MUST BE EQUIPPED WITH A LAMP sufficiently powerful to illuminate an area in front of the dogs far enough ahead for safe progress to be made. A car spotlight is ideal.

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT WET CELL CAR BATTERIES ARE NO LONGER ALLOWED, AN ALTERNATIVE SUPPLY OF POWER MUST BE USED - EG A POWER PACK. Tape must be applied to any glass lamps, but plastic lens are preferable. A back- up torch must be carried, preferably of the 'petzle' headlamp type.

Your local burglar alarm company may be able to assist with cheap dry cell batteries - alternatively, all branches of city Electrical Factors stock challenger AA53 (6. 5 amp) batteries.

TRAIL MARKERS will be reflective. Yellow markers will be positioned just before the turns i.e. Yellow markers will be positioned just before the turns, i.e. Yellow Marker on the right, turn right. Just after the turn, two White Markers will be positioned either side of the trail.
Go between the two White Markers.

SCRUTINEERING. For reasons of safety, this will be strict. Special equipment - as stated - must be carried and in working order. Faulty rigs, lights etc, will mean that you will not be able to start. It is in your interest to ensure that all you equipment is in good working order.

If you have not raced at a rally before then we would prefer if you do not treat the Night Rally as your first race so as to avoid any unnecessary accidents.
