Stowe Gardens 2002
Nr Buckingham, Bucks
Date: 15 Dec. 2002

The majority of the course has many twists and winds its way around the ancient monument, lawns and Gardens, with the finish being on a dirt track. The surfaces vary, being mainly hard packed footpaths, grass and an ascent with a little loose stone in places, but not excessive. (boots should not be necessary). Not a difficult course, but one the dogs should love.

Notes   These gardens are reputed to be one of the best in the country, welcoming tens of thousands of visitors per year. The National Trust at Stowe are planning for this to be a large Christmas event with the public spectating. No idea of numbers, but consider that 1000s will attend, as this event will be publicised. Merchandising will be welcomed from within the club; a small charge will be made by SHCGB. Father Christmas could be in attendance. This is a good event to publicise our club and gain goodwill. Independent marshalls will be used to control the public and car parking. We are unable to accept entries later than detailed above or any changes. A schedule will be produced for the event.
