From J23, M5 follow the signs to Bridgwater. Immediately after the VW garage on your right take the right hand turn (Wylds Road). At the next traffic lights turn right and take the A39 to Minehead.

Approx. 3 miles after bypassing Cannington, fork left immediately after the Cottage Inn on your right, signposted to Over Stowey. After about a mile of winding roads you come to a cross-roads. Go straight over (signposted Ramscombe, Over Stowey and Crowcombe) and take the second left, signposted "Adscombe and Ramscombe".
Drive slowly down this road as the road is very narrow and it is difficult to see oncoming traffic. Follow the road until you get to a mini cross road. Go straight over (signposted Ramscombe).
SHCGB signs will be posted from the Cottage Inn.

Notes   RIGS MUST BE EQUIPPED WITH A LAMP sufficiently powerful to illuminate an area in front of the dogs far enough ahead for safe progress to be made. A car spotlight is ideal. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT WET CELL CAR BATTERIES ARE NO LONGER ALLOWED, AN ALTERNATIVE SUPPLY OF POWER MUST BE USED EG A POWER PACK*. Connections to batteries must be at least crimped or soldered terminals, secure enough not to become detached should the rig need to be turned over. Tape must be applied to any glass lamps, but plastic lens are preferable. A back-up torch must be carried, preferably of the ‘petzle’ headlamp type.

TRAIL MARKERS will be reflective.

SCRUTINEERING. For reasons of safety, this will be strict. Special equipment, as stated, must be carried and in working order. Faulty rigs, brakes, lights etc, will mean that you will not be able to start. It is in your interest to ensure that all your equipment is in good working order.

IF YOU HAVE NOT RACED AT A RALLY BEFORE THEN YOU CANNOT TREAT THE NIGHT RALLY AS YOUR FIRST RACE - SO AS TO AVOID ANY UNNECESSARY ACCIDENTS.

Entry into the forest:

Part of the entry route into the forest will make up part of the night rally. Therefore no vehicle will be permitted into the forest after 5pm on Saturday.

This is a recreational forest used by children and other users. There is an inhabited forestry house near the trail so our actions will be highly visible. This is the first rally of its kind in this area so we must leave a good impression all around to ensure we can continue to use it in the future. Rubbish bags will be positioned around the site so please make the effort to ensure the site is left as we found it. Please clear up after your dogs, fill in any holes dug and remove all litter.
